It’s with real pride that I’m announcing the launch of our second major training course built by us at The Block Coach, Leasehold Block Fundamentals.

Following the growing traction of New Block Manager: Career Jumpstart, we’ve taken things a step further.

So, what is Leasehold Block Fundamentals?

It’s a structured, practical introduction to the leasehold block and estate management sector, designed for anyone working in or around it.

That includes:

People within managing agents who aren’t on the PM path but need real understanding

• Contractors trying to break into the sector
• Service charge accountants
• Building Surveyors
• Professional advisers
• RMC directors leading developments
• Anyone who needs a clear, grounded overview of how this world actually works

What makes this different?

There are already some good introductions out there, and I’d always recommend looking at The Property Institute: TPI Website

But this sits alongside that.

This is about how the sector really operates on the ground, delivered in a modern format, with:

• Monthly group coaching calls
• Live interaction in group calls with property managers and others in the sector
• A proper community feel, not just a one-off course

For a lot of new team members the leasehold terminology alone can be confusing and it can be very overwhelming starting a role, trying to support Property Managers.

6. Health and Safety

Who is this really for?

If you’re an RMC director, you’ve got legal duties that require you to obtain a fairly challenging baseline level of knowledge.

If you support property managers but feel light on leasehold and commonhold understanding, that will hold you back.

If you’re in a legal firm bringing through junior staff, this gives them the grounding  in what the coal-face actually looks like that they've often never get.

Why have we built this?

Because there are so many knowledge gaps out there - and not enough emphasis on those actually delivering services to these communities. 

The leasehold block management sector is worth around £12bn to the wider economy. 

Only about £1bn of that sits with managing agents.

The other £11bn flows through contractors, consultants, and professional services.

That wider market is massively under-trained.

This course is about bringing everyone up to speed.
