Meet Joe Mallon MRICS FTPI -Â Founder of The Block Coach
Joe Mallon is a Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of The Property Institute, with over two decades of experience in the property sector — most notably as co-founder of JFM Block & Estate Management, one of London’s leading managing agents. Having spoken at major industry events like the ARMA (now TPI) Conference (2023) and Leasehold London (2024), Joe is a well-known voice in the sector. Now, he’s turning his attention to education, offering new and aspiring professionals the guidance, tools, and knowledge they need to succeed in Residential Block Management and beyond.
From Career Start-Up to Industry Influence
After several years working with high-profile managing agents across North London, Joe co-founded JFM in 2015 with a mission to reshape how managing agents deliver service. From a two-man start-up, JFM grew into a thriving business of over 60 team members and nearly 10,000 homes under management. Through this journey, Joe led high-performing teams, built collaborative supplier networks, and helped define best practice in a challenging, fast-evolving industry. His experience taught him one key truth: great careers in Block Management don’t happen by accident — they’re built with intention, training, and leadership.
